Been a while
Yeah. Been crazy busy lately. But got my running in anyways. Switched my running times to early morning figured that it would be much less of a pain if I trained for running in the morning (as though running the marathon wasnt pain enough)
Got back to see my mentee doing really well at the HB Foundation chess tournament. Hes currently 14 th lets hope he moves up, will really make everyone happy. Also helped him clean his room, now gotta figure out a way to keep it neat :)
Running last weeks in San Diego has been a lot of fun, sure beats 40 degrees in Minnesota. But I love the lakes, theres perfection in the 5 K lap of Lake Calhoun, just right for a timed run.
Actually did a half marathon last week. A 1:45:19 in headwind rain and at 40 degrees. Never had such ugly weather. Just hope Grandmas is a bit nicer. I plan to hit another half marathon next week, I want to get to 1:30 soon enough lets see
Also realized a few things about running in the cold. Never stop running in the cold, you will cramp up so bad that u wont know what hit you, ask me I did that after the half and was hobbling for the next 2 days
Went out to run today on the lakes, was hoping to see the Bolder team, I guess the bad weather kept them indoors :)
I head back to San Diego next week, looking forward to running the harbour next week should be fun
